Co-founder of Fatcha!
After the success of an online web based game developed with Brieuc Barthelemy , we create the association Fatcha!
The goal of this association is to build various web projects, from the basic concept and development to the daily maintenance.
Being administrator at Fatcha! gives me the opportunity to improve my technical knowledge but also my project management skills.
Fatcha took off because of the success of silver-world, a web based massive multiplayer online role playing game.
With over 10.000 daily players, managing this project forced me to improve my skills in various essential technical fields for the website's life.
I improved my knowledge in terms of server administration, optimization and web hosting.
With such projects, I have to take care of issues faced by professional Web sites.
A hard work has to be done on optimization, security and adapting the site based on users needs and requests, was crucial to keep the projects successful.
Since the creation of Fatcha, my skills have continued to increase, and today, a real organization of work is implemented in project development.
After many investigations, we have chosen to use the Symfony framework as basis for our developments.
Besides the fact that this development platform is free, it gives me flexibility and a structure allowing me to go beyond the previous achievement.
Symfony framework is a MVC (Model View Controller) it allows me to easily divide the tasks to be performed within the association.
So we can redistribute tasks among developers, web designers or content manager responsible for our projects.
The framework also allows us to improve the work on the visibility of our products, particularly in terms of search engines, applying the rules to better SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
